tree media concept

Objective:
Tree Media Company's core business is advertising on trees on the major streets of New York City while donating a sizable portion of the revenue to New York City. Tree Media will place banners at the eyesight level. The banners will be easy to remove and will not be hurtful to the trees. The banners will be about 7" tall and will wrap around the trees without preventing the tree growth.

This is part of the global initiative that has its intention to place advertising on the trees of major cities in US and other countries which will bring additional revenue to NYC in taxes.

Background:
It seems Adopt-A-Highway program has not been extremely successful because of the lack of sponsors and lack of impact from the ads on the highway. Adopt-A-Tree program will be more attractive to the sponsors hence will have more chances for success. Due to recent success of the Michael Bloomberg's initiative to plant a million trees in New York City there is a concern finding extra budget to take care of these trees. The trees need trimming, fertilizer, watering, environmentally friendly pesticides, support stakes, and protective fencing. The city also needs to spend money on fixing broken sidewalks causes by the roots of the trees. Adopt-A-Tree program proposes to alleviate some of the funding issues associated with tree care.

Finances:
The New York City will receive 10 million dollar income annually from the Adopt-A-Tree program. This revenue will grow at 20% per year for the next 5-10 years.

Requirements:
Adopt-A-Tree program needs from the NYC:
1. Explicit permission to function on the streets on NYC
2. 20 year contract with NYC to insure continuity and scale of the project
3. Full collaboration with environmental department, parks department, landscaping and other agencies.

Business Value:
For any organization such as political party, a large corporation, small business owner advertisement is a critical component of business process. Tree Media is an additional channel for the advertising service.

Adopt-A-Tree program offers a distinct way to reach customers while presenting company's or organization's care for nature therefore making promotion more accepted by customers. The traditional channels of advertising do not show the advertisers care for the community and nature. Tree Media plan is to make advertising more appealing to the New York City's inhabitants.

Strategy and Future:

1. To cover 5 boroughs of NYC and insure leading market player position in NYC.
2. Sustain leading position in New York state, US and later globally as a tree advertiser.

Tree Media home is New York City and Tree Media's 50 founders are NYC residents. (We expect to pay our taxes and make donations in NYC. As you see from our projections for global expansion this will be a sizable increase to NYC budget.)
